Partida Tequila

The Tamp Bay Food & Wine Experience is pleased to introduce Partida Tequila as part of the experience that you will be able to enjoy at the end of the month. Because it is a meeting of the old and the new, and Partida Tequila is consisted of traditional tequila making and new technology processing where they bake the agave juice in these huge auto claves which leaves Partida Tequila with a smooth clean taste. The taste of Partida Tequila is deffinatly attributed to the blue agave which makes every sip nothing but pure bliss. John Lastra the state manager for Partida Tequila noted that Partida Tequila is state grown and made so it’s purely organic. He also mentioned that the climate and process that the blue agave is grown is like no other tequila you have probably ever drank. Partida Tequila is 100% Weber Blue Agave it is grown On the side and base of El Cerro, a 6,000-foot dormant volcano, the volcanic soil naturally filters the land for the agave to grow, then It's cultivated for 7-10 years until the piƱas are perfect! Before parting with John I asked, “what can we expect to see from you at the event?” John boasted that Partida will be making the original skinny margarita “Partina Margarita”which consist of all organic ingrediants with half the calories making this all natural margarita delicious! Partida Tequila has been rated top tequila by Spirit Journal and Wine Enthusiast magazine stated that Partida Tequila sets a new benchmark in tequila. With all this being said I can’t wait to try out the Skinny Margarita at the Tampa Bay Food & Wine Experience.

Red Cat Wine

The Grande Tasting Experience Is proud to featureTampa Hazlitt’s Red Cat Wine! Red Cat is nothing but ordinary, when first tasting this wine your initial reaction is that the flavor is real compelling in nature but rewarding in flavor! Furthermore the Hazlitt winery dates back to the mid 1800s, Hazlitt wine also resides in the great state of New York in a town dubbed for their vineyards, the town of Finger Lakes is where the famous Red Cat wine is crafted. Mark Ballard who happens to be the district manager of Red Cat in Florida, commented on just what makes Red Cat so Delightful?  “what makes red cat different from other wines is that it’s a (beverage wine/bridal wine) that doesn’t need stemware to be served and consumed, its best served chilled in order to truly be refreshing , Red Cat is loved by many due to the fact that its fruity and easy to drink.” He speaks about how he is going to serve Red Cat a unique way this year! We are going to highlight the Red Cat slushies which is mixed with lemonade. Can you say yum? Some other varieties of wines you should hope to see from Red Cat at the Tampa Food & Wine Experience are: Bramble Berry wine which resembles Concord grape juice with black raspberries, Cabin Fever which is a white zinfandel with pink grapefruit flavor. Before we parted we just had to ask Mark what exactly is the Red Cat Chant? Mark replied joyfully that the Red Cat wine is a fun wine that is “best enjoyed with friends and family” with that being said he concluded that the Red Cat chant goes a little something like this “Red Cat Red Cat it’s an aphrodisiac Red Cat Red Cat it will get you in the sack.”

SAVOR - Events.PR.Marketing Unveils:
2011 TAMPA BAY FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE
---
A Tampa Bay signature culinary and wine event

TAMPA BAY – (August 21, 2011) SAVOR – Events.PR.Marketing announced today they are creating a legacy for Tampa Bay’s premier wine and food scene.  SAVOR is Unveiling the new TAMPA BAY FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE this fall, September 29th – October 2nd, 2011.  The project will be unleashed upon the Tampa Bay marketplace, right in the heart of Downtown Tampa’s newest outdoor event space, at the beautiful Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N. Ashley Drive.  The TAMPA BAY FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE offers a savory, palate-pleasing, four-day weekend destination event showcasing the talents of renowned wine and spirits producers, local and national chefs, and culinary personalities to educate, entice, enlighten, and entertain foodies of all genera’s.

The EXPERIENCE will host several events around the Tampa marketplace, including ‘A Perfect Pair’ Culinary Dinners,  an opening night pre-event party,  Grande Experience Tasting and a closing night bash just to name a few. Tickets to the EXPERIENCE will be available for purchase August 30th at www.unleashyourpalate.com. More details will be announced as the date draws nearer.

The creators of the EXPERIENCE are known in the Tampa Bay market for directing and producing previous large scale wine and food projects, “We plan on continuing the legacy of creating the most exotic culinary events that the Bay Area has grown to love” says Tonya Valdez, CEO of SAVOR and The TAMPA BAY FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE.  “How could we stop tantalizing the taste buds of our marketplace and loyal event followers?  EXPERIENCE goers should rest assured that they will continue to be delighted and intrigued by this latest endeavor.”

SAVOR – Events COO Stacey Paul Barabe is especially elated to be embarking on this new project.  “With 18 years of creating large scale events for many brands, corporations, and tradeshows, the opportunity to create something uniquely “creatively ours” is very exciting for me personally.  For the participants, I am excited to bring in some new elements, like a beer garden.  What better way to kick off the first day in October!”

Some exciting detials for the EXPERIENCE include a great location.  “Downtown Tampa is thrilled to once again see more activity and new events in our waterfront parks” says Shaun Drinkard of the Tampa Downtown Partnership.  “Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is a great centralized location for the TAMPA BAY FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE, and the event will attract thousands of people to the parks, businesses, and cultural venues in and around Downtown Tampa.”

“I LOVE this location!  The guest experience will be very enjoyable, with ease of parking, conveniently located downtown with a great metro park urban vibe” elaborates Barabe.

“We are thrilled to be able to work on a closer level with the community, the City and its businesses. This project offers access to everyone to play in the vineyard now.’”, says Valdez.  “This is all about having fun and exploring the wonderful taste profiles that are key to our market.   No one has the right to tell you what your palate should respond to or salivate for.  That’s the biggest hurdle to jump when embarking on a culinary or wine journey.  We work hard to break those barriers by wrapping the tasting events with high energy music, fun spaces and yes, even the notorious painted lady”.

A portion of the proceeds will go to support scholarships for culinary arts students through the Central Florida area.

The Painted Lady

The Painted Lady -  She's morphed into many brands, vineyard landscapes, been the mother of us all as Eve tempted, been covered in chocolate as a secret ingredient, covered in dripping red wax for the last bash event and of course covered in lots of sand.  Her trusty sidekick Jonah "the artist" creates beautiful masterpieces on our lovely Painted Lady.  She 's been hugged, poked, pointed at, gasped at and in many many pictures with our culinary explorers.  I can't wait to show you want we have planned for the Lovely Lady this year at the Experience.
